Eclipse Microneedling with MicroPen™

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is designed to treat acne scars, hyperpigmentation/dark spots, stretch marks, skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles.

How does it work?

A topical gel is applied to clean skin. A hydrating hyaluronic acid (HA) gel is applied to soothe the skin and help the MicroPen™ glide across your skin. Settings are selected to customize your treatment for your needs. As the Eclipse MicroPen™ is applied to the skin, hundreds of superficial micro-channels or holes are created every few seconds. The process stimulates your skin’s natural ability to heal itself. This repair process begins almost immediately. As a result, new collagen and elastin produce softer, firmer skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars and textural issues.

Some patients only require a single treatment, once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart to begin with, then move into annual treatments for maintenance. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6 week intervals.

What are the side effects and risks?

Side effects may include: redness immediately following the treatment, skin tightness and mild sensitivity to the touch on the area being treated. It is also safe for ALL skin types which means it is a great procedure for almost everyone!

Re-hydrated, plumped up skin in less than an hour has garnered some of Hollywood’s most famous & beautiful devotees.

The Oxygen Buzz

Intraceuticals Oxygen treatments are the latest skin care advancement for hydration and age control producing immediate, visible results with non-invasive techniques. Due to the regenerative properties of oxygen, physicians, dermatologists and plastic surgeons all agree that oxygen is essential for healing and treating certain skin conditions. Your skin provides a natural barrier to the environment thus absorbing the damaging effects of pollution. Because environmental pollution deprives our skin of pure oxygen we see an increase of stressed and pre-maturely aged skin resulting in fine lines and wrinkles with lack of firmness and elasticity.

Benefits of Intraceuticals Infusion Treatment

The Intraceuticals Oxygen Infusion skincare treatments use oxygen under pressure as a means to deliver a unique moisture binding serum with concentrated hyaluronic acid to hydrate the deeper layers of the skin. This treatment not only hydrates the live layer of skin, it stimulates new cell growth, elastin, and collagen production which plump the skin, producing immediate, visible results. Oxygen is also essential in treating acneic skin conditions as it has natural antibacterial properties.

Additional Benefits:

  • Instant visible results
  • Adds volume and lift without injections
  • Improves overall texture and tone
  • Dramatically reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles naturally
  • Comforts dry, sensitive or stressed skin
  • Provides an immediate increase in radiance and glow
  • Can re-volumize hyaluronic acid fillers

What is a HydraFacial?

A skin health treatment that merges soothing and invigorating spa therapies with advanced medical technology to achieve instant, lasting results with no downtime. The HydraFacial is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that delivers instant results with no discomfort. The procedure is soothing, moisturizing, non-irritating and immediately effective. The HydraFacial® is not just a quick-fix procedure – it helps improve the quality of the skin, making it healthy.

How does it work?

The HydraFacial is a resurfacing procedure which cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, and hydrates all while Vortex-Fusing antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid.

First dead skin cells are removed to reveal healthy, new skin. Then a gentle acid helps loosen dirt and debris from pores without irritation, followed by painless, automated extractions using vacuum suction to draw out impurities. Finally, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid are Vortex-Fused™ to nourish and protect skin.

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is one of the least invasive ways to improve the appearance of your skin, giving it a smoother, younger appearance. Regular treatments can help by minimizing fine lines, mild brown spots (melasma), sun damage, reduce acne scarring, speed up collagen production and increase cellular turnover. Peels can be done the on face, neck, chest, arms and back of hands. A Smoother radiant glow is just a few days away.

How does it work?

Chemical peels exfoliate the top layer of skin, causing the natural cell-turnover process to speed up. They refresh the skin by removing discolored skin cells. For acne-prone skin, chemical peels help minimize oil production, unplug pores and shrink blemishes.

A chemical solution is applied to the skin. Depending on the particular chemical, you may experience mild tingling sensation. Chemical peels work by irritating the top layer of the skin by breaking up the oils that hold dead cells together.

The TCA peel is the deepest we offer at Blush. It will cause you to be pink (like you have been in the sun) the day following, then day 3 peeling will begin and last for 3-5 days. A Kligmans peel is milder in nature and will not cause as heavy peeling of the skin. The Jessner peel is particularly effective for acne-prone skin and will typically not cause the skin to peel.

What are the side effects and risks?

Possible risks and side effects include but are not limited to: bruising, redness, irritation, discomfort, peeling, flaking, swelling, crusting, scabbing, pigmentation changes, infection, and increased sensitivity to the sun. It is imperative that patients use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (like EltaMD) following treatment to protect the new skin and prevent burning or hyperpigmentation. Patients on Accutane are not candidates for chemical peel treatment. Most skin types can be treated with chemical peels, and it is a great option for patients looking for improvement in their skin but aren’t ready for laser treatments.

What is Dermaplane?

Dermaplane is an effective way to exfoliate the face, revealing radiant and healthy skin. It also removes the fine, “peach fuzz” hair on the face. This hair often causes a buildup of dirt and oils in the follicles, so removing the hair gives the patient healthier looking skin. Removing epidermal skin also allows products to penetrate more readily into the deeper layers.

This treatment can be combined with a collagen mask for gorgeous, glowing skin. It is also a great treatment for patients who are pregnant or nursing and want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents.

How does it work?

A sterile surgical scalpel is used in a feathering motion to gently scrape away the surface layer of dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. It then increases the cell turnover, smoothing and softening skin.

How do I prepare?

Do not use retinol or harsh, drying products on the area to be treated for 48 hours prior to treatment. Patients with inflamed acne or raised lesions on the skin should not undergo dermaplaning.

What are the side effects and risks?

There are no side effects and no downtime associated with dermaplane.

What is Plasma Concepts Pen?

What it Treats

Plasma Concepts Pen treats the following areas: upper and lower eyelids, forehead lines, neck lines, stretch marks, loose skin, nasolabial folds, jowls/jawline, crow’s feet, tear troughs, and ear lobes.

Procedure Time

The procedure time varies depending on the treatment area, but but figure about 60-90 minutes for most procedures.

The procedure time varies depending on the treatment area, but but figure about 60-90 minutes for most procedures.

Results for the Plasma Concepts Pen are simply incredible! Immediate tightening of the skin is very common, with additional tightening and smoothing increasing over the next 2-3 months. The recovery time is about a week. A protective crust forms on the treated area during the first couple of days after the procedure. It will fall off after about 5-8 days after the procedure leaving a pinkish skin for about another week.

Side Effects

Local swelling, oedemas, and crust formations are common. Swelling generally begins reducing after 3 days. The crust formations usually flake off in about 5-8 days. Pinkish dots and redness may occur for about 1 month after the procedure.
