What is a Forever Young BBL (Photofacial)?
The Sciton Forever Young BBL (Broadband Light) photofacial treatment uses pulses of visible light to improve facial redness and flushing, rosacea, cherry angiomas and visible signs of sun damage and aging. A groundbreaking Stanford study has concluded Sciton Forever Young BBL reverses skin damage from the sun and improves fine lines and wrinkles by reverting the gene expression of the skin cells to that of younger skin.
How does it work?
Light energy will gently heat up the layers of the skin. The heat is absorbed by the targeted area, stimulating skin cells to generate new collagen and rejuvenate skin.
How many treatments are needed?
2-4 treatments per year are generally recommended.
What are the side effects and risks?
Possible side effects and risks include but are not limited to: redness, temporary discoloration of the skin, increased sensitivity to the sun, mild burning, pigmentation changes, irritation/discomfort, and temporary swelling, crusting, bruising, peeling, or flaking.
