What is Coolsculpting?
Coolsculpting is fat-freezing technology that is non-surgical, scientifically proven, and FDA cleared to treat 9 different areas of the body to reduce pockets of fat: visible bulges under the chin and jawline areas, thighs, abdomen and flanks, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks, and upper arms.
How does it work?
CoolSculpting technology safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), and then die. Over time, the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted physique.
Coolsculpt uses cryolipolysis (fat freezing) technology to freeze the fat cells. Once that happens, your body naturally eliminates the now dead cell within 1-3 months.
What are the side effects and risks?
During the procedure, a deep pulling, tugging, pinching, numbness or discomfort may be felt. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and in some cases cramping pain. Rare side effects may also occur.
